A special feature at Weatherfield School are the farm and grounds.
All the children, past and present, have over a period of many years have been actively involved in creating and maintaining habitats where a rich variety of flora and fauna can flourish enabling pupils to gain first hand learning and understanding.

We often have  lambs born at school. Our oldest but friendliest sheep is called Lucky. She was born on the school grounds. We often have baby animal on the farm. This helps to teach the children how to care for animals it also teaches the 'facts of life' and often death. We have many goats on our farm. Every year, in spring, we have kids born. Pupils are encouraged to take part in their care.
