A special feature of Weatherfield Academy is the farm and grounds. All the children, past and present, have over a number of many years, been actively involved in creating and maintaining habitats where a rich variety of flora and fauna can flourish enabling pupils to gain first hand learning and understanding.

In Spring, lambs are born at our academy.

We often have baby rabbits and guinea pigs on the farm.

This helps to teach the pupils how to care for pets at all stages of their life cycle.

We have many goats on our farm, Each year, kids are born.

Pupils are encouraged to take part in their care.

We now have two alpacas on our farm.

All the pupils have a chance to look after them in their lessons.

All pupils receive weekly Rural Studies lessons in our farm and grounds.

Our pupils are actively involved in all aspects of horticulture and animal care.
