Finance Manager

32.5 hours a week, term time only, plus 1 week (to be agreed with flexibility)


Weatherfield Academy is a school for pupils, for aged 7 to 19, with complex cognition and learning needs holding an Education Health Care Plan. Currently, there are 155 pupils on roll with over 70 members of staff.

 

The Finance Manager will play an important role, working with Head Teacher, in operating and maintaining the financial procedures and systems of the Academy.


The role requires someone who is experienced in financial systems, budgeting and is able to manage all aspects of the Academy’s financial operations, ensuring accurate financial records are maintained and reported on a regular basis.


The Finance Manager will oversee and reconcile payroll via an external provider, as well as perform statutory duties such as Year End, VAT Returns and Teachers’ Pensions. They will work with Head Teacher to prepare for annual external audit of the statutory consolidated accounts.
