KEY STAGE 5 NEWS 2019-2020

Marie Curie Collection

Thank you so much to all for supporting Marie Curie – despite the fact that we were restricted in attending Morrisons the students raised over £80.
So a huge thank you to all involved.

This money is hugely important to Marie Curie especially in these difficult times.

KS5 Team Enterprise

We are the Crafty Bunch Crew and we do team enterprise on Thursday afternoon.

We formed a company and worked as a team. We designed some logos to relate to the company. The (CEO) company executive officer is Billy, the secretaries are Sebastian and Alfie, the marketing director is Sophie, finance director is Emma, advertising directors are John and Alfie and the sales director is George.

We have sold shares for £1 each to staff and we made £50 towards the cost of materials for our project.

We have made snowflakes with toilet roll tubes and finger print snowmen on Christmas cards.

We are going to sell the snowflakes and fingerprint snowman cards on Wednesday 11th of December for the Christmas fayre and in the staff room.

Calvert Trust Lake District

A group of ten 6th Form students spent five amazing days with Mrs Patterson and Miss Enright in The Lake District at The Calvert Trust outdoor adventure activities centre. We had the opportunity to try lots of new and
exciting activities.

The first challenge was a mountain walk with fabulous views. Nick, our lovely instructor, made us all a cup of tea when we reached the top.

In the afternoon we did canoeing. Some students were excited and some were
nervous but everyone had a great time.

The next day we went to Watchtree Nature Reserve and had an amazing time trying out all sorts of different bikes.

On Thursday morning we went on a ghyll scramble. We climbed up the river over the rocks. Everyone got wet but it was good fun. On Thursday afternoon we braved the High Ropes Course. Everyone was so brave – especially Ben!
