Personal and Social Devepment (PSD)

Vision Statement

Our aim is to give each student the opportunity to develop their confidence, personal skills and social skills inside and outside of the academy.

Some of the units studied in years 10 and 11 may be continued in 6th form at a higher level. The units below are introduced in the sixth form:

  • Healthy living

  • Managing social relationships

  • Your money in the future

  • Identity and cultural diversity

  • Dealing with problems in daily life

  • Healthy eating

The ASDAN course we follow leads to an award or certificate, which can be achieved from Entry Level 1 - Level 2.
