Making Bird Feeders for the Big Garden Birdwatch

This week, our students at Weatherfield Academy have been busy preparing for the Big Garden Birdwatch during their Forest School lessons.

They’ve been making bird feeders out of oranges, creating eco-friendly treats to attract birds to our school grounds. It’s been a fun and hands-on activity that helps students learn about nature while supporting wildlife.

The Big Garden Birdwatch, run by the RSPB, takes place this weekend. It’s a great way for everyone to enjoy time outdoors while counting the birds in their gardens or local green spaces.

We can’t wait to see which birds visit our feeders!
