Visit for NHS Careers Information to Key Stage 5

On Wednesday 15th November some Key Stage 5 students were part of an NHS Careers Event delivered by Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the Luton and Dunstable Hospital staff, Sabine and Mhairi.

The students learned all about the different careers within the NHS, staff uniforms and a patient’s journey.

The students could not believe that there are over 350 different careers within the NHS Foundation Trust and also learned about all the fundraising events that take place.

Our School Council and a small group of Key Stage 5 students will be taking part this December in the Give a Gift Appeal at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital. This supports all the children in hospital over Christmas with a Christmas gift.

If any students are interested in looking at a career in the NHS then they can go to the following website - NHS careers quiz at - https://www.healthcareers.nhs.uk/findyourcareer

Here they can answer questions about themselves to see what type of job they could be suitable for.

Thank you to the Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust for coming to visit us here at Weatherfield Academy Special School – THANK YOU
